Rockbros Cold Weather Balaclava Ski Mask

Warm and cozy thermal fleece protection for your entire head and neck. Fits comfortably under any kind of helmet. Can be arranged in multiple configurations to suit the weather conditions; for example, wear as a full balaclava, or wear as a neck gaiter.

Accmor Classic Bike Bell

This is a really cute, classic bike bell.  It’s also well rated for its functionality. We love bicycle bells. Nothing says more clearly – but politely – that a cyclist is coming, which makes it a useful safety feature as well. It is well made with copper, which makes it an excellent buy for the money. And the mounting is super adjustable, so you can be confident it will fit on the handlebars of the lucky cyclist you give it to.

The Accmor Classic Bike Bell is an excellent budget gift, so it is in our Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide for Cyclists

The Gift of a Warm Head: Naviskin Fleece Skull Cap

A nice thermal skull cap is a great (and cheap) alternative to a balaclaca to keep a cyclist’s head warm for winter cycling. They can also be used when hiking or skiing, too.

The Gift of Fun Lights: DAWAY A01 Waterproof Bike Wheel Lights

Daway offers a strip of 20 bright and colorful LED lights to attach to a bike wheel. These are great for safety, but also, really cheerful when cycling in the dark. They can be used on steady or flashing mode. Flashing mode is more noticeable, and uses less battery power. I love these kinds of lights.

Supershieldz for Garmin Edge 530 and Edge 830

Want to really be impressive in the Secret Santa stakes? Notice that your work buddy has a Garmin Edge 530 or 830, and buy him or her a set of two well-rated glass shields to protect their investment from the rigors of winter cycling.

SKS Bottle Holder and Bottle for Electric Bikes

A common problem with electric bikes is that there is no way to carry a water bottle. This is a serious problem because, contrary to popular belief, it’s possible to get a lot of exercise on an ebike – which means you need to have a lot of water. However, the frame configuration on most ebikes makes it hard to attach a standard water bottle holder.

We solved this problem with the SKS bottle holder system. This comprises an adapter to attach to your bike, plus the holder itself. These can be attached at various angles to almost anywhere on your bike. The system works best with the matching SKS bottle. You can see the entire system in this photo of my electric bike.

This bottle system is hugely useful, which is why it deserves to be in our Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide for Cyclists

As you can see, I was able to mount the SKS bottle cage adapter to the broad stem of my bike, and then fit the bottle holder and bottle off to the side. There is literally no other place to carry a water bottle on that ebike. We had the same problem with Maggie’s electric bike, and solved it in the same way. Below you can see the bottle cage adapter (with the orange dot) and the black bottle holder.

Here is another real life example of the SKS bottle holder system that we recommend in our Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide for Cyclists

The SKS Bottle Cage Adapter and Holder work best with the SKS bottle, which is a little broader than most water bottles.

Budget Gifts for Cyclists – Under $30

The Gift of Being Prepared for Emergencies: Crank Brothers Multi Bicycle Tool (10-Function) ($18)

EVERY cyclist needs a good multi-tool – trust me on this one. Every time a saddle needs to be moved, or a kickstand needs to be tightened, or a mirror is falling off – a multi-tool is required! It’s hard to go a WEEK without one. Any cyclist who doesn’t have one yet, simply doesn’t know what they are missing. And you cannot have too many, because nothing sucks quite as much as having your saddle fall off at home, while your multi-tool is at work. Here’s a great multi-tool by a trusted manufacturer, for less than $20.

The Gift of Warm Feet: Woolie Boolie Merino Wool Socks

Nothing says “I Care About You” better than giving the gift of warm, comfy feet. Especially for cyclists, who often suffer from cold, numb feet on long winter bike rides. Woolie Boolie are legendary socks for cyclists. Made out of 72% merino wool, these socks are designed and crafted with a fully cushioned sole and comfort top.

The wool is soft, naturally insulating, breathable, and fights odor-causing bacteria. The wool in these socks comes from sustainable farms in the Rocky Mountain region, including Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.

These socks are middle thickness, hitting the sweet spot that provides plenty of warm while not taking up too much space inside your shoes. The socks succeed in their aim of providing ultimate warmth in adverse conditions. Oh, and they last forever – our house is full of ancient Woolie Boolie socks!

Ascher Ultra Bright USB Rechargeable Bike Light Set

This budget set of bike lights has a few premium features, including rechargeable lithium batteries for both lights. (Usually budget bike light sets skimp drastically on the tail light.) So if you have a friend who has no bike lights and who might find themselves having to cycle after dark, this would be a thoughtful and useful gift.

A great bike light is an excellent gift for any cyclist. You can never have too many bike lights!
