This post is about the problems that women cyclists sometimes experience with our “lady parts,” due to saddle soreness. It includes an explanation of what causes the problems; descriptions of the various problems; advice on how to treat them and when to seek medical help; and advice on how to avoid all of these problems in the first place. The issues I have focused on are vaginitis (yeast infections); urinary tract infections; saddle soreness (includes chafing, folliculitis, saddle sores, and boils); genital numbness; and labial hypertrophy (swollen labia).

I finally found a flattering womens cycling shoe! Who knew mountain bike shoes would be THE ONE! I don’t usually associate mountain bike gear with fashion, but these womens cycling shoes deliver. They can be used with and without cleats, and are comfortable on and off the bike. These shoes rate our Bike Gold Star for good looks and good function at a great price. Definitely the best womens cycling shoes under $85.

Here’s my full review of the comfy, stylish Showers Pass Rogue Cycling Pants. I have been looking for some more stylish cycling clothes for quite some time. Full lycra/spandex is just not appropriate to meet for lunch or run errands. It hasn’t been easy to find pants that look good but are also functional. I want something quite styling – but on the other hand, I did not want to look like a Pearl Jam refugee in mountain bike attire either. This hasn’t been easy. However, I am really happy with the Showers Pass Rogue Cycling Pants. These pants are designed for men, but work well for women.
Here’s a review of the Serfas TSL-350 Bike Headlight. This compact bike light is extremely bright with 350 lumens, yet has a wide beam. This Serfas bike headlight attaches securely to your handlebars and makes it much safer to cycle at night.

The Fiat 500 is called a “City Car” which I think is a brilliant name. Marco is just that – a City Car – great gas mileage, easy to park, enough room for groceries, a sexy little Italian in his own right.
The Specialized Dolce Sport Triple is an outstanding bike at the price. This women specific design road bike is light and small. The carbon forks and Zertz inserts do a great job of sucking up the bumps without the additional weight of shock absorbers. Specialized has put a lot of effort into creating their women specific designs, and it shows.
